About

RED starts with an introduction to the history of the Red Sea and its geography, highlighting its exceptional coral formations, mangrove forests, and seagrass beds.  The film then moves onto more specific details on the extraordinary, but critically endangered, marine species that make the Red Sea their home. RED, derived from the IUCN Red List, is a unique journey into what should be one of the most "least concerning" seas in the world.

RED is about the human journey. Through the eyes, efforts and research of several scientists and conservationists we learn about the endangered species of the Red Sea Ecosystem.

The film is all about the Red Sea: its unique beauty and wonders, and why we must do our best to protect it. The film has no activist or strong polemic statements, and political ambitions.

A non-profit film for sale on a non-exclusive basis to networks worldwide, RED will be presented to major film festivals and will hopefully become freely available on social media channels.

The film will cover the essentials for maintaining healthy reefs, seagrass, and mangrove environments, whilst telling the stories of the scientists who are dedicating their lives to their protection.
